Title: The Creative BUSHIDO
Product : YOMIKO website content (RPG)
Advertiser : YOMIKO ADVERTISING INC.
Planning Intention :
Creative Bushido is a special site created by YOMIKO Advertising with the aim of self-promotion.
Today's advertising industry is in a state of chaos. From the daily routine of our world to the dramatic arrival of a new era of advertising, we have adopted the turmoil of Japan's Age of Warring States as our metaphor and presented it as entertainment in the style of a traditional picture scroll. Seemingly at the mercy of the powerful current and waves of these times, we the creators of YOMIKO Advertising freely exchange our views and enter into the fray of the battle for new business with enthusiasm in this epic tale. And no matter what the next age may bring, we are prepared to meet the new era of advertising, armed with the peerless weapon of ideas polished to brilliant perfection. This is the Creative Bushido.
Contents :
In order to express the spirit of Creative Bushido, we have produced three stories in which Yomiko...
- battles against Japan's largest advertising agency,
- clashes with an international creative agency, and
- challenges a new era of advertising
- a) In this simulation of the business of advertising, we have adopted to the 'Sengoku-jidai' (the age of warring states when 'Samurai' culture was at its height) as the setting for the story.
- b) Competition is a war. The Creative Director is the 'SHOGUN' and his staff are 'SAMURAI' warrior. Instead of battling with the pen, our samurais rely on sword and arrow in this simulation; however, the "fighting spirit" a.k.a., "THE CREATIVE BUSHIDO", is the same whether in the boardroom or the battlefield.
- c) The player can see the enemy implement his "battle" strategy and experience the process of the fight for the account. When the player selects the winning strategy and achieves victory in the battle, then he is rewarded with a look at the advertisement.
- d) The design is original but based on the images depicted on Japanese antique folding screens. The visual elements seem as if they popped out from a museum exhibit and began moving.
