In October 2003, YOMIKO Advertising Inc. opened a new era with the integration of our business operations with Hakuhodo Inc. and Daiko Advertising Inc. under the holding company Hakuhodo DY Holdings Inc. With the creation of Japan's first fully integrated media company Hakuhodo DY Media Partners Inc. in December of the same year, we completed the formation of an advertising group unprecedented in the Japanese advertising industry. (Hakuhodo DY Holdings Inc. is listed in the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.)
In May 2008, YOMIKO undertook another decisive step, leaving our long-time head office in Ginza and moving to Akasaka where other member companies of the Hakuhodo DY Group are concentrated. This relocation has resulted in a consolidated office environment that streamlines communication both within our agency and with the Group, and empowered us with the capability to elevate innovation to new levels and extend the depth of our solution business.
YOMIKO Advertising builds integrated communication solutions premised on supporting our client's business all the way to the sale to their target and founded on promotion that directly contributes to solving issues. We call this approach "Promotion Consulting". While sharpening the edge of our recognized expertise in "home plus" marketing which taps our extensive experience in residential real estate properties, and exploiting our extensive experience in the entertainment business ranging from animation and sports to cultural events, we are also focusing efforts in areas expected to see remarkable growth in the future such as direct marketing and overseas markets with an emphasis on Asia, as well as the key domain of retail promotion.
Commemorating our new location and renewed commitment to excellence, YOMIKO has adopted a red vertical line as our new visual identity to express the English word "I". It stands for the pride and commitment felt by each individual when we say "I am YOMIKO". It also expresses the value we place on the individual. In today's world of accelerated diversification of value, calling on the unique individuality and strengths of each and every employee and then harnessing and maximizing their synergy as corporate power is more important than ever. In fiscal 2007, we launched the internal training program "YOMIKO Dojo" to empower our human resources.
